Product Introduction

Forged plug refers to a metal part made by forging process, which is used to close the end of the pipe or plug the orifice of the equipment. It is usually installed at the opening of the pipeline system, pressure vessel, valve, mechanical equipment, etc. to play the role of sealing, partition or safety protection.

Product Features

High Strength Pressure Bearing Capacity
We use the integral forging process to manufacture forged plugs through high temperature heating and high pressure forming. This process makes the metal grains refined and the internal structure more compact. Therefore, its pressure level can reach Class 3000, 6000 or even 9000, which is suitable for high-pressure transmission pipelines.

High Processing Precision
Our forged plugs are precisely processed by CNC machine tools, and the dimensional tolerance is controlled within ±0.01mm. This makes its leakage rate less than 0.1×10⁻⁶ Pa·m³/s, which is much better than the 1×10⁻⁶ Pa·m³/s required by the national standard.

Multiple Connection Methods
We provide forged plugs with various connection methods such as threaded connection, socket welding, butt welding, etc. to meet the installation requirements of different pipeline systems. Among them, threaded connection is suitable for small-diameter and low-pressure systems; socket welding and butt welding connections have good sealing properties and are suitable for high-pressure and high-temperature systems.

Standardized Production
Our forged plugs are strictly produced in accordance with international standards such as ASME B16.11, GB/T 14626, EN 10241, etc. to ensure that the products meet the standard requirements in terms of size, material, pressure level, etc. This means that it is more convenient in terms of installation, maintenance, replacement, etc.

FAQ

What should I pay attention to when installing forged plugs?

Before installing forged plugs, it is best to clean the interface to ensure that no impurities remain. If it is a threaded connection, pay attention to applying an appropriate amount of sealant; if it is a welded connection, choosing the correct welding process can improve the sealing effect and avoid leakage in the later stage.

Can forged plugs be disassembled and used multiple times?

If it is a threaded forged plug, it can generally be disassembled multiple times. As long as the installation and disassembly are standardized, it will not affect the use effect. But if it is a welded plug, it cannot be reused after being removed, and a new plug needs to be replaced.

Can you do customized surface treatment?

Of course. Depending on the use environment, we can provide customers with surface treatment methods such as anti-rust oil coating, electrogalvanizing, and spray anti-corrosion coating.
