Forged Couplings

 

Forged couplings refer to mechanical connectors made by forging. They connect two shafts to achieve power transmission between the two shafts and allow a certain degree of axial, radial or angular offset to compensate for assembly errors and displacement during operation.

 

 

High Strength
Our forged couplings are made of forged steel materials, such as 45# steel or 40CrMo. Through high-temperature forging and heat treatment processes, the tensile strength can reach more than 600 MPa. This high-strength feature enables forged couplings to withstand greater torque and impact loads.

 

Precision Machining
Our forged couplings are processed by CNC lathes and precision grinding to ensure that the hole tolerance meets the H7 standard, and the fit clearance between the shaft hole and the journal is controlled within the range of 0.02–0.05 mm, in accordance with DIN 6885. This ensures the concentricity of the coupling and reduces the vibration of the transmission system.

 

Diverse Materials
We offer forged couplings in a variety of materials, including 45# steel, 40CrMo and stainless steel. Among them, 45# steel is suitable for general industrial environments; 40CrMo has higher strength and toughness, suitable for heavy loads and high impact loads; stainless steel is corrosion-resistant and suitable for food, medicine and other environments.

Forged couplings are usually used to connect motors with various pump equipment such as water pumps and oil pumps to transmit power between the pump shaft and the motor shaft and compensate for the axis deviation generated when the pump is running.

In fan and compressor systems, forged couplings are used to connect the motor shaft with the fan or compressor shaft to transmit rotational power and effectively reduce axial and radial vibrations during operation to ensure long-term stable operation of the equipment.
